Even though I am a lot better anxiety wise than I was 3 to 4 months ago, I still get a lot worst PMT than ever. As I have noticed that sort of time is coming around again, I have yet again noticed how little I have been doing to help myself in that way. By eating the right foods, drinking water and exercising more, I could be a lot better.
It is not about weight in this case. I am not really gaining any weight. But at the moment a day does not go buy that I don't have some sort of snack that is full of bad things. If you put this together to the fact that I don't eat a lot of fresh stuff, then violá.
This week: Today I had a salad (good), and 1 day out of 7 I managed to have a vitamin tablet (pathetic) and I had one walk and one day swimming (a 4.5 out of 10 for that) this week. I had fresh salmon one day with a salad during the week. But the rest of the time has been full of quick heated food, cobs, crisps, chocolates, some ice-cream (that I did not even fancy).
So at this moment that I am feeling a bit teary, a bit anxious etc, I am pulling my hair out at how I manage to be so unorganized and NOT do the things that could help me feel better.
What can I do this week?
- Have 2 pieces of fruit a day, a banana and an apple would be good
- Have some fatty omega 3 fish: tuna, salmon etc (Tomorrow I will be having that with a salad).
- Eat frequent meals, sugar drops a lot more during PMT. Eat nuts, and take little quick snacks to eat in the middle of the afternoon at work (I cannot be 6 hours on the go without eating, it does not only make me ill, it makes me eat like a pig afterwards).
- Drink water
- Exercise
- Breath properly, meditate, and not let the mind wonder.
WHAT I AM NOT GOING TO DO:
- I am not going to have ANY crisps, chocolate (full of caffeine) or any ready made crappy meals, fizzy drinks etc (No going down the shops to pig out) (Watch out for excuses to myself!) No buying loads of bread to make cobs with fatty meats that are no better for me that the former mentioned items.
- I am going to do the exercise/meditation that I need to do
I CAN DO IT: I include a few links about PMT and nutrition:
Mum: If you read this, I will be asleep in the morning as I have a bit of a bad stomach and couldnt sleep very well, speak to you before I go work
